The Estate

IMG_0616The GrandBras Estate is located in the Parish of St. Andrew on the island of Grenada.  The name Grand Bras which is French for “big arm” was given to this village by French colonizers in the 17th century.

Nestled in the foothills of extinct volcanoes, at an average elevation of 94m (308 ft.) the soil in Grand Bras is naturally rich in nutrients and extremely fertile.  The area receives approximately 12 hours of daylight everyday, temperatures year round never fall below 22C and only seldom rise above 32C and average monthly rainfall of about 140mm with 15 – 25 average rainfall days per month.  In addition, the GrandBras Estate is bordered by two rivers which provide additional natural irrigation for products grown on the estate.
